Maisie grew up in the wilderness of both Vermont and Costa Rica. The forest was Maisie's playground. She spent her time exploring nature, observing the world around her, finding insects, picking up snakes, rescuing injured animals, admiring birds through binoculars for hours and taking pictures of absolutely everything.
Nature has played an important role in her life and wellbeing and is the biggest source of inspiration for her work. Her work highlights the relationships between humans and nature. Maisie’s art is otherworldly and fantastical. She is a master of shifting scale and perspective, while emphasizing the elements of our world as we know them.
In 2021 Maisie graduated college and began her career as a self employed, surreal digital collage artist. She has since worked with countless musicians for their album artwork, been featured in and on the cover of magazines, worked with many notable brands and companies, and various other clients to produce her style of artwork for their needs.
She lives a nomadic life, traveling from place to place making her artwork and sourcing new inspiration for her art from her frequently changing environment. You can follow her journey on Instagram: @giraffesdoingthings and @maisiedoingthingz
